It was in a tiny theatre on 4th Street and Ave. C, entitled The House of Tribes, where Den would ask his son Ivan to join the band on drums for a song to commemorate his 35th birthday. Den was immediately swept over by the tremendous spirit of sharing the stage with Ivan for the first time (being that father and son would playfully rehearse in their home since Ivan turned 8 years old). The tremendous applause equalled by the sheer astonishment from the crowd resulted from Ivan’s display in his sharp proficiency and the roar of his drum. Thus, the evening culminated in an unforgettable moment for both father and son, with the epiphany that both would be sharing their dream of making music together. Having successfully performed in his first professional gig (at the tender age of 10), Ivan instantly became the drummer his father had been searching for.
Two years later, Den and Ivan, now known as Evening Son, have completed their first two albums in their home studio Den, of Wolves Studios (Evening Son, and Breathe Away) and have embarked on their love of performing together and sharing their infectious brand of alternative rock to the masses.
